Joey returns home after his harrowing trip to DC (“Lost/Holes Reprise”). What he witnessed, and the angry mass of perpetrators who pillaged the Capitol grounds are seared into his psyche--” I Can’t Un-ring the Bell That’s Rung—What's Done is Done.”
Joey Wendt clocks back into work. As he stacks cereal boxes on shelves, he nervously looks over his shoulder and ponders whether the FBI will appear to collect him. It is with profound regret that our central character, now fully aware of his surroundings, his misdeeds, and his own vulnerability, attempts to resume a previous existence he will sadly never know again.
